<strong>Nakhon Pathom<\/strong> represents a commitment by the local government and relevant stakeholders to adopt human rights as a guiding framework for urban development. It reflects the shared understanding that human rights, human dignity, and equality constitute fundamental foundations for quality of life and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>4 November<\/strong>, the Declaration of Intent for Nakhon Pathom as a Human Rights City was formally announced. This event marked a significant milestone in advancing the Human Rights City concept at the local level in Thailand. The event was organized to demonstrate the collective commitment of local authorities, relevant government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society to integrating human rights principles into urban governance and city management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event featured presentations on the concept and significance of Human Rights Cities, along with the formal declaration of intent to promote human dignity, equality, non-discrimination, and public participation in urban policy-making processes. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that human rights principles are embedded across all sectors of city governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The declaration event therefore served not only as a symbolic gesture but also as the starting point of an ongoing process of learning, policy development, and the establishment of collaborative mechanisms among various stakeholders, with the aim of advancing Nakhon
