การประกาศเจตนารมณ์เมืองสิทธิมนุษยชนของ นครปฐม เป็นการแสดงความมุ่งมั่นขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นและภาคีที่เกี่ยวข้องในการยึดหลักสิทธิมนุษยชนเป็นกรอบนำในการพัฒนาเมือง โดยตระหนักว่าสิทธิมนุษยชน ศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ และความเสมอภาค เป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญของคุณภาพชีวิตและการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน
เมื่อวันที่ 4 พฤศจิกายน ได้มีการจัดงานประกาศเจตนารมณ์เมืองสิทธิมนุษยชน ณ นครปฐม ซึ่งถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนแนวคิดเมืองสิทธิมนุษยชนในระดับท้องถิ่นของประเทศไทย งานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อแสดงความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ภาควิชาการ และภาคประชาชน ในการนำหลักสิทธิมนุษยชนมาเป็นกรอบในการพัฒนาและบริหารจัดการเมือง
ภายในงานมีการนำเสนอแนวคิดและความสำคัญของเมืองสิทธิมนุษยชน รวมถึงการประกาศเจตนารมณ์ในการส่งเสริมศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นมนุษย์ ความเสมอภาค การไม่เลือกปฏิบัติ และการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนในกระบวนการกำหนดนโยบายเมือง โดยเน้นให้สิทธิมนุษยชนเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการดำเนินงานในทุกภาคส่วนของเมือง

On 4 November, the Declaration of Intent for Nakhon Pathom as a Human Rights City was formally announced. This event marked a significant milestone in advancing the Human Rights City concept at the local level in Thailand. The event was organized to demonstrate the collective commitment of local authorities, relevant government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society to integrating human rights principles into urban governance and city management.

The event reaffirmed the shared commitment of local government organizations, relevant agencies, academic institutions, and civil society to promoting urban governance based on human dignity, equality, non-discrimination, and management approaches that are sensitive to multicultural contexts.
The event featured presentations on the concept of Human Rights Cities and facilitated exchanges of perspectives on applying human rights principles to urban development in Yala’s local context. Particular emphasis was placed on public participation, building trust between the state and local communities, and respecting diversity in identity, culture, and religion.
